Cookstown Greens grows butternut squash in the winter months between November to February.
Butternut Squash is medium to large in size. The skin is very thin and its orange flesh is dense and moist.
Once cooked the flesh becomes tender and offers a mild squash flavor with sweet and nutty nuances.
Roasting, baking, grilling and broiling. Use as a filling, cube and add into a curry or risotto, puree into a soup.
