Organic turnips are a nutritious, versatile vegetable. They differ in taste depending how you prepare them and in what season they're grown.
- Amber Turnips are globe shaped, with deep yellow skin and creamy flesh. They are sweet, tender, and mild in flavour.
- Red Turnips are round with a slightly flattened root. They have spicy, red skin and sweet, white flesh.
- Purple Top Turnips are white skinned with purple shoulders and white flesh. They are sweet and mild in flavour with a fine-grained texture.
Can be eaten raw (pickled or shredded on a salad), sauteed, grilled or roasted.
