  • Available May and June
  • Sweet, succulent flavour and tender texture

  • Available May and June
  • Known as the king's vegetable in Germany
  • Slightly more mild than the green asparagus

Cucumber

  • Available June through August
  • Slightly tougher skin than a common English cucumber, but does not need to be peeled
  • Not overly seedy

Eggplant

  • Available July through September
  • A small variety of eggplant in different shapes an sizes
  • This year we've got dark purple and white and pink striped

Fava Beans

  • Available in August
  • Pods are large and thick encapsulating anywhere from 3-7 lemony-lime coloured beans
  • Sweet, mild grassy flavour

Green Filet Beans

  • Available in August
  • Green, thin straight beans
  • More tender than the common green bean

Purple Filet Beans

  • Available in August
  • Similar flavour to that of the green filet bean
  • Colour fades when cooked

Green Beans

  • Available In August
  • A variety of the common green bush bean
  • Lovely sweet flavour and crispy texture

Tongue of Fire Beans

  • Available in August
  • Shelling Bean
  • Large green pod with streaks of reddish-pink 
  • Beans are cream with speckled red
  • Nutty and sweet in flavour with creamy texture

Fennel

  • Baby variety available Available in August, larger in September
  • Bulbs, stalk and leaves all edible
  • Licorice flavour

Garlic Scapes

  • Available July and August
  • Flower stalk of the garlic plant (hardneck varieties)
  • Mild garlic flavour and aroma
  • Can be diced up and eaten raw, like a green onion, or cooked.

Kohlrabi

  • Available in July
  • A round shaped member of the Brassica family
  • Delicate cabbage flavour  and juicy, crisp texture
  • Great grated into a raw salad, roasted, or pureed into a soup
